Rapid have officially announced the departure of Christopher Braun. According to Sport.ro, he is moving to CFR Cluj. Braun ends his time at Rapid after three seasons and returns to CFR Cluj this winter, where he will be managed by Daniel Pancu.

CFR Cluj's coach, Daniel Pancu, confirmed at a press conference that the club has reached an agreement with Rapid's 34-year-old German-Ghanaian right-back, Christopher Braun. Pancu stated that he understood Braun had now signed with the team from Gruia. This is a return for the player, who was with CFR Cluj during the 2022-2023 season before being transferred to Rapid in the summer of 2023 for 150,000 euros. The coach also suggested that the club would likely complete at least two more transfers during this period. Braun has made 15 appearances in the SuperLiga this season; his contract with Rapid was set to expire in June 2026 and his current Transfermarkt valuation is €200k.
