Chris Bedia Transfer from FC Union Berlin to Young Boys

YB has a unilateral purchase option on Chris Bedia from Union Berlin, where the striker has a contract until 2027. The player is on loan at YB until June 30, 2026. The price agreed upon in February was 2.5 million, while the purchase price is likely to be around one million francs. Bedia's current market value is around three million. Technical director Mathieu Beda said that they are in constant contact with the player and his advisor and that they will tackle the matter in January.

A decision has not yet been made on whether Chris Bedia will remain permanently with BSC Young Boys following his loan. According to 'Bild', no discussions have taken place so far between the Swiss top-flight club, the striker, and his parent club Union Berlin. The Young Boys have a purchase option to sign Bedia permanently. The Ivorian's contract in Berlin is valid until 2027.

Union Berlin has announced that the loan of striker Chris Bedia to Hull City has been terminated early. The 28-year-old Ivorian is set to spend the remainder of the season with the Young Boys from Bern. Bedia, who remains under contract with the Bundesliga club until 2027, expressed his hope to perform better in Switzerland. Bedia, who transferred to Union Berlin from FC Servette for two million euros approximately a year ago, has struggled to make a significant impact both at Union Berlin and subsequently in England's second division. The move to Switzerland is viewed as an opportunity for him to revive his form.
