De Telegraaf reported that Feyenoord was interested in Chido Obi from Manchester United, but club watcher Mikos Gouka of Algemeen Dagblad immediately dismissed that report.

Talks are taking place between Feyenoord and Manchester United for nineteen-year-old striker Chido Obi. A Danish player who also holds Nigerian nationality, Obi is not yet in contention for a first-team place at Manchester United and may be loaned out. Currently, Feyenoord is only interested in a loan, and it is unknown if an option to buy can be negotiated. The Rotterdam club has until the Dutch transfer deadline on September 2 to complete any incoming deals. Obi, who joined Manchester United on July 1, 2026, has 4 caps and 2 goals for the Denmark U20 national team. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value is €5.00m. FC Köln has also been linked with the player.
