Charlie Patiño, a 22-year-old whom Deportivo considered not to be needed, had proposals from Segunda teams such as Ceuta. The English midfielder chose to join German club Bochum on a season-long loan. The offer from the Bundesliga 2 side arrived early in the week, and the clubs have reached an agreement for the loan until June 30th, although it awaits official confirmation. Prior to the Deportivo-Valencia match, Fernando Soriano had stated on Dazn that the deal was quite advanced. Patiño, who has been capped twice by the England U21 team, joined Deportivo in August 2024 and his contract there runs until 2028. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €600k, and Polish club Górnik Zabrze had also been linked with him.
