Charles Pickel Transfer from Cremonese to Espanyol
Charles Pickel, a Congolese international of Swiss origin, will join Espanyol from Italian club Cremonese. He arrived in Barcelona for a medical examination before the official announcement. The transfer fee is slightly above 1 million euros with an additional 500,000 euros based on variables.
Espanyol is believed to have reached an agreement with Charles Pickel, a midfielder from Cremonese. According to Matteo Moretto, a journalist with expertise in the transfer market, Espanyol is actively seeking to strengthen its team by acquiring both a winger and a midfielder, with Pickel identified as a primary target. The player's current market value stands at 2.4 million euros. Although Pickel's contract with Cremonese is valid until 2026, Espanyol has proposed an offer slightly exceeding one million euros plus additional variables, which Cremonese is reportedly willing to consider. Pickel is set to become the tenth addition to Espanyol's squad in this transfer window, primarily playing in the pivot position.
Espanyol is pressing for Charles Pickel, a midfielder born in 1997 from Cremonese. After initial interest reported by SkySport, the Barcelona club has offered the player a deal worth 1.1 million euros plus 400,000 in bonuses. Charles Pickel's brother and agent, Cyril Pickel, arrived in Cremona today to try to finalize the deal. Cremonese is asking for 2 million euros to conclude the operation, but the Catalans will try to negotiate a better price, strengthened by the player's agreement.
