Agent Mihăiță Pleșan, who brought Costa Rican midfielder Carlos Mora, 24, to Universitatea Craiova, revealed that he first proposed the player to FCSB, but Gigi Becali showed no interest at the time. More recently, however, Becali has expressed his admiration for the footballer. Pleșan stated that Mora was also an option for Rapid at one point, and they were interested when the transfer fee was much higher, but Universitatea Craiova acted more effectively to sign him. According to Pleșan, he received no feedback from FCSB after his proposal. The agent also confirmed that Mora has two years remaining on his contract with Universitatea Craiova and does not have a release clause. He added that there had been very good offers for Mora and that if he had been sold, he would have been the most expensive player in his position, with a value of more than 2.5 million euros.
