According to Marca, Carlos Fernández will not be in the Real Sociedad squad for the next season after finishing his loan at Mirandés. In his 169 professional matches, he has scored 39 goals. He has represented Spain at U16, U19, and U21 levels and has won a Copa del Rey (2021), three Europa Leagues (2014, 2015, and 2016), and a U19 European Championship (2015).

Carlos Fernández is training separately from the group. Real Sociedad hopes that the needs arising in the last two days of the transfer window will open up the possibility of finding a good solution for him.
