Göztepe has joined several other Süper Lig clubs in pursuing Galatasaray's young Argentinian-German talent, Can Armando Güner. The İzmir-based club is interested in signing the 18-year-old right winger on loan as part of an effort to build a squad with more rotation, with the goal of not failing to qualify for European competitions in the new season. It is reported that Galatasaray is open to the idea of sending Güner to a team where he could get regular playing time. Güner was transferred from the German club Borussia Mönchengladbach for 350,000 euro in February during the previous season's mid-season transfer window and played in two official matches for the senior team. His contract with Galatasaray is valid until June 2030, and he has 3 caps for the Argentina U17 national team. Güner's current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €500k.
