Camilo Cándido Transfer from Cruz Azul to Atlético Nacional
Atlético Nacional has started planning its squad for the 2026 season, during which the club expects to compete in an international tournament, and has initiated negotiations to retain Camilo Cándido. The Uruguayan player is on loan from Cruz Azul of Mexico, with his contract expiring at the end of 2025. The negotiations may be complex, as Cruz Azul reportedly prefers a permanent sale. According to journalist Mauricio Agudelo, Nacional's intention is for Cándido to remain with the club, and Cruz Azul would not be against the player staying. The Colombian club must now persuade the Mexican side. A new loan agreement, possibly with higher fees, is regarded as more probable than a permanent transfer, which is considered difficult.
