Cameron Humphreys Transfer from Ipswich Town to Wycombe Wanderers
A report from the Bucks Free Press indicates that Wycombe Wanderers are interested in bringing back former loan player Cameron Humphreys from Ipswich Town this January. The same report states that Wycombe wants to strengthen its midfield following injuries to Ewan Henderson and George Abbott, and that the club is not seeking only a temporary replacement. Humphreys is a 22-year-old English midfielder who has had limited opportunities at Ipswich this season, with only 10 minutes of playing time in the Championship. During a previous loan, he won the supporters' Player of the Season award. The Bucks Free Press also reports that Wycombe is targeting former loanees, and that Aaron Morley of Bolton Wanderers is on their list along with Humphreys. Towards the end of December, Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna stated that Humphreys had been unlucky concerning his first-team opportunities and that a loan move could be considered this month. Humphreys joined Ipswich in July 2022, and his contract is valid until June 2026. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €500k.
