However, on the final day of the Dutch transfer market, Go Ahead Eagles has allowed the 23-year-old Dutch midfielder, who did not want a move abroad, to join Willem II on loan for the rest of the season. Both Algemeen Dagblad and Voetbal International have reported the move, adding that the transfer would need to be completed quickly to meet the deadline. Twigt joined Go Ahead Eagles from FC Volendam in July 2024 for a fee of €500,000 and is under contract until June 2028. The Netherlands U21 international has made 12 Eredivisie appearances this season. His current Transfermarkt valuation is €750k.
