Cremonese are seeking to sign a central defender and recently attempted to re-sign 24-year-old Caleb Okoli from Leicester. The English club, which is currently 12th in the Championship, rejected the attempt, stating that the Italian-Nigerian defender would not be leaving in the January transfer window. Okoli joined Leicester in July 2024 and has made 13 appearances in the Championship this season. His contract with the club runs until 2029.
