Reşat Can Özbudak states that Bruno Petković has sent an official request to Kocaelispor demanding payment of outstanding debts. Özbudak adds that, according to FIFA rules, the 31-year-old Croatian striker has the right to terminate his contract if Kocaelispor does not fulfill his request within the next 10 days. Turkish media reported that Kocaelispor was supposed to pay Petković 650,000 euros, which they allegedly have not done. Petković joined the club in July 2025 on a contract until June 2027. The forward has 42 caps and 11 goals for Croatia and has scored 4 goals in 8 Süper Lig appearances this season. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.80m, and Trabzonspor has been linked with an interest in him.
