Bruno Duarte has completed his transfer to Vasco da Gama, a few hours after Crvena zvezda's match against Viktoria Plzen. The forward has returned to his homeland after eight years. Crvena zvezda recovered the 2,000,000 euros they paid to Farense for him. The club had hoped for a higher sum but could not dictate the terms because Duarte had entered the last year of his contract. Duarte has taken the number 19 shirt and signed with Vasco da Gama until the summer of 2028. Bruno Duarte said his job is to score goals and provide assists, and that this is the primary role of strikers at any club. He added that this is especially the case at a club like Vasco where expectations and pressure are enormous. He stated that he is ready and with a great desire to help Vasco with as many goals and assists as possible. Duarte described himself as a very mobile player and a number nine who does not like to be uninvolved in the play for long, and who wants to participate in all phases of the match and help his teammates in any way he can.

Crvena zvezda has reached an agreement with Vasco da Gama for the transfer of 30-year-old Brazilian-Italian forward Bruno Duarte. The deal is for nearly 2,000,000 euros, the same amount the Serbian club paid to sign him from Farense in July 2024. The transfer was facilitated by the forward's wish to play for the club from Rio de Janeiro. ESPN has also confirmed the information. Duarte is already in Brazil and is expected to be in Rio within the next 48 hours for his medical examinations and to sign the contract. His contract with Red Star Belgrade was set to expire in June 2027. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €4.00m.
