Toluca has reached an agreement to acquire 18-year-old Uruguayan right-back Brian Barboza from Peñarol in a deal valued at approximately $4 million. The Uruguayan club will retain the player until the end of the year and will also receive a percentage from a future sale. Barboza, who joined Peñarol in May 2026, has a contract with the club until the end of 2029. He has made nine domestic league appearances in the 2025/2026 season and is yet to be capped by the Uruguayan national team. His current Transfermarkt valuation is €125k.
