Claudiu Tudor, president of Petrolul Ploiești, stated that there is interest and many discussions regarding Breston Malula, a 25-year-old centre-back from DR Congo. Claudiu Tudor said Petrolul does not want to sell any player in the winter, but would consider transfers only for an exceptional offer. The intention is to keep the most wanted players until summer, or until the end of the 2026-2027 competition. Malula joined the club in July 2026 and his contract runs until June 2028. His current Transfermarkt valuation is €400K.
