Brecht Dejaegere has extended his contract with KV Kortrijk for one year, according to Voetbalnieuws.be. The captain, who has played 130 matches for KV Kortrijk, will remain with the team.

According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Brecht Dejaegere will soon sign a new contract at KV Kortrijk and will continue his playing career at the club for at least another year.

Voetbalnieuws.be reports that 34-year-old Belgian central midfielder Brecht Dejaegere declined an offer from Club Brugge to become a youth coach. He declined the offer because he does not feel his playing career is over and would like another opportunity to play in 1A. Dejaegere hopes to stay at Kortrijk, where he and the club are negotiating a one-year contract extension, although no agreement has been reached. Coach Jonckheere is urging for Dejaegere to extend his stay at the club. Dejaegere joined KV Kortrijk in August 2024 and has a current market value of €350k, according to Transfermarkt.
