He declined the offer because he does not feel his playing career is over and would like another opportunity to play in 1A. Dejaegere hopes to stay at Kortrijk, where he and the club are negotiating a one-year contract extension, although no agreement has been reached. Coach Jonckheere is urging for Dejaegere to extend his stay at the club. Dejaegere joined KV Kortrijk in August 2024 and has a current market value of €350k, according to Transfermarkt.
