According to Mjällby's sporting director Hasse Larsson, speaking on the club's website, Bang-Kittilsen has been a model professional but was unable to secure a regular position due to the strong competition at the club, making 6 appearances in the Allsvenskan league during the 25/26 season. Larsson wished the player the best for his future career. AIK had previously shown interest in the midfielder. Bang-Kittilsen, who has 11 caps for Norway U20, joined Mjällby from the Norwegian club Odd before the 2025 season and made 24 appearances for the team.
