Moussa Sissoko Transfer from Watford to Panathinaikos

According to Greek outlet SPORT24, Panathinaikos have reached a complete agreement to sign Moussa Sissoko, and the deal is described as done. The report states the French midfielder is expected to join the Greek team as a free agent following discussions between the clubs. His contract situation has been a factor in permitting a free exit now rather than in the summer. It is expected that Sissoko's next move will be outside of English football, and the transfer to Panathinaikos appears to be imminent.

Panathinaikos is preparing to complete the transfer of Moussa Sissoko from Watford. The 36-year-old French defensive midfielder has played this season in the Championship and has made 20 appearances. The presence of Rafa Benitez on the Panathinaikos bench is a decisive factor in this situation. Rafa Benitez knows Sissoko very well from their time together at Newcastle and believes he can contribute immediately to the midfield, both athletically and in terms of personality. The midfielder, who has 71 caps and 2 goals for France, joined Watford in July 2024 and his contract expires in June 2026. His current market value is €300k, according to Transfermarkt.
