Bernardo Silva: Manchester City Contract Extension
Pep Guardiola has advocated for the renewal of Bernardo Silva, on the condition that it is the best for the Portuguese footballer, whose contract ends in the summer and has not yet been renewed. Guardiola stated that he wants what is best for Bernardo and that if Silva wants to stay, Guardiola will be more than delighted and happy. However, Guardiola also said that he has not discussed this matter with Silva. The manager added that he wants the best for the player's family, and mentioned that Silva has been at the club for nine years and will decide what is best.
According to Fichajes, Manchester City are accelerating the process of extending Bernardo Silva’s contract in response to rising interest from Benfica and Juventus. The player's contract is set to expire next summer.
Bernardo Silva has confirmed he will remain with Manchester City for the 2025–26 season after being named the team’s new captain. He ruled out a departure this summer as he enters the final year of his contract. Silva stated, 'I have one year on my contract so obviously I can leave next season. This season for sure will be at City, I’m going to stay.'
