City Football Group, the parent company of Manchester City, is reportedly monitoring 21-year-old French defender Ismaelo Ganiou, who has attracted widespread interest. Chelsea's owners BlueCo have also been monitoring the player. A host of other Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Fulham, and Brentford, have watched the centre-back during 2026. The defender is also of interest to Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, and Monaco in France, as well as Italian sides Atalanta and Como, and German clubs Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig. Following his first-team debut last season after joining Lens in July 2025, Ganiou signed a new four-year contract with the club this summer. He has been capped five times by France at U21 level. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €30.00m.
