Standard de Liège announced on Wednesday that 20-year-old Cameroonian centre-forward Bernard Nguene has extended his contract until June 2029. The agreement includes an option for an additional season. Bernard Nguene expressed happiness and pride in signing the new contract, and he thanked the management, staff, teammates, and supporters for their support. Sporting director Marc Wilmots stated that the new contract rewards the development of a hardworking and determined young striker who has already become an important player for the squad. Nguene joined the club in February 2026 and has a current market value of €1.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
