Wigan Athletic have had a third bid for defender Benn Ward rejected by Accrington Stanley, according to Pete O'Rourke. The 22-year-old English defender is also the subject of interest from fellow League One clubs Stockport County, Bradford City, and Reading. Ward joined Accrington Stanley in January 2025 and his contract expires in June 2026. In the current League Two season, he has made 23 appearances and scored two goals.
