Celtic are signing Brentford defender Benjamin Arthur on a loan deal. The Richmond & Twickenham Times reports that he will join until the end of the season. The loan deal is not expected to include an option to buy.

Celtic are in ongoing talks to sign English centre-back Benjamin Arthur from Brentford on loan for the rest of the season, in what would be their second deadline-day signing. The 20-year-old has made three first-team appearances for Brentford this season, and his potential arrival would allow Stephen Walsh to move to Motherwell on loan before the transfer window closes. Arthur, who has one cap for England U20, has a contract with Brentford until June 2031.
