Officials from Borussia Dortmund and Brighton & Hove Albion were observing 19-year-old Polish central midfielder Bartosz Mazurek while he was at Jagiellonia Białystok. According to a post on platform X, Cimoszko suggested the connection with Dortmund was the most significant, considering the proximity of Germany and Austria, the history of Mazurek's current club Red Bull Salzburg, and BVB's 'Polish past'. The player has also been frequently linked with FC Porto, whose president, Villas-Boas, admitted the club had a strong interest in him before his move to Salzburg and that they will continue to observe his progress. He joined Red Bull Salzburg in July 2026, and his contract runs until June 2031. The transfer to Salzburg was reported with a base fee of €7.5 million, potentially rising to €10 million. His current market value is €10.00m. For the Poland U21 team, Mazurek has 1 cap and 2 goals.
