Team Talk reported that Bamba Dieng held talks with Wrexham earlier this summer.

Co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have reportedly supported a club-record contract offer to sign Bamba Dieng.

According to 90min, the Red Dragons have recently been linked with free-agent Senegal international Bamba Dieng following his departure from FC Lorient. However, due to the club’s existing attacking depth, any move may come later in the window if a suitable opportunity becomes available.

Wrexham are targeting Bamba Dieng, a 26-year-old Senegal international centre-forward who is without a club after his departure from Lorient this summer. It is reported that Wrexham have offered the former Marseille player a contract that would make him the highest-paid player in the club's history. Dieng has other offers available, and the Welsh club faces competition from Premier League side Hull City, as well as clubs in Saudi Arabia and Turkey. A move to a team in either France or Spain is considered the most likely result. Valencia, Real Betis, Sevilla, and Nice are all reportedly interested in the striker. Dieng has 24 caps and 2 goals for Senegal and a current Transfermarkt market value of €15.00m.
