Foreign media recently reported that Lech Poznań intended to negotiate for Balthazar Pierret in the coming days. That information is now considered outdated.

According to "Giornale di Puglia," Lecce's technical director Pantaleo Corvino and president Saverio Sticchi Damiani will meet with representatives of Lech Poznań in the coming days to discuss a possible transfer of Balthazar Pierret. The transfer could be a loan or a permanent deal, and the loan option is described as very probable. Pierret has played only four times for Lecce this season, primarily because of health issues, and his contract expires at the end of June next year.

Lech Poznań is interested in signing Balthazar Pierret, a 25-year-old French midfielder from Lecce who was previously linked with Widzew Łódź late last year. Pierret is reportedly a player of high interest to Lech Poznań, though the club's sporting department has reservations about his health history. Mikołaj Kruk commented that Pierret's playing style would theoretically suit the club. According to Kruk, the player earns €370,000 annually, and he added that it is not yet known if a potential deal would be a loan or a permanent sale, as these details are yet to be determined. Kruk also expressed that signing a player who has hardly played for about half a year is a significant risk. This season, Pierret has been limited to just four appearances, totaling 80 minutes, after suffering a complex thigh injury in the first round of matches. Pierret joined Lecce in July 2024, with a contract until June 2027, and has a current market value of €1.40m according to Transfermarkt.
