Media reports linked Lecce's 25-year-old French midfielder Balthazar Pierret with a move to three Polish clubs, which were named as Widzew Łódź, Lech Poznań, and Cracovia. Foreign media had indicated that Lech was planning to begin negotiations. Separately, the player was reportedly open to a move to Poland, but only to join Legia Warszawa. As the Warsaw club did not make a concrete offer, Pierret is set to continue his career at the French second-division side Red Star FC, and the matter appears to be settled. Pierret joined Lecce in July 2024, and his contract runs until 2027. He has made three appearances in Serie A in the 25/26 season. His current market value is €1.40m, according to Transfermarkt.
