Rangers have begun discussions over keeping Bailey Rice at the club and have indicated they are reluctant to lose him.

Danny Rohl admitted after Rangers' 3-0 win over Dundee in January that he would like for Bailey Rice to sign a new contract. When asked if he would like to see Rice remain with the club, Rohl said that for the player, the priority is coming back from a major injury. He added that Rice is working hard and that a decision will then be made from their side.

Bailey Rice, a 19-year-old Scottish midfielder, is out of contract, and Rangers are keen to extend his stay despite interest from England. The Scotland U19 international has 16 caps. According to Transfermarkt, he has a market value of €800k. Several English clubs, including Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester City, Cardiff City, and Sunderland, have recently been linked with a move for the player.
