Spanish media have reported that Manchester City is interested in Moroccan central midfielder Azzedine Ounahi, 26, as a potential replacement for Bernardo Silva. Ounahi's current club, Girona, is part of the City Football Group, which also owns Manchester City. The player's release clause is set at €20 million. There is also interest from Atlético de Madrid and Italian clubs, but Ounahi seemingly has a preference for City. The English press revealed that the Manchester City board's priority to replace Bernardo Silva is reportedly Enzo Fernandez of Chelsea. Ounahi joined Girona in August 2025 for a reported €6 million, and his contract is valid until June 2030. He has 47 caps and 9 goals for Morocco, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €10.00m.
