Eintracht Frankfurt's 22-year-old Swiss defender Aurele Amenda is seeking to leave the Bundesliga club to improve his chances of being selected for the Swiss World Cup squad, having made only three league starts in eight Bundesliga appearances this season. Mainz is one of several clubs interested in the centre-back. Lorient, Torino, Nice, and Valencia are also interested in the player, while Celtic have also been linked. Amenda, who has four international caps, joined Frankfurt from Young Boys in January 2024 for a reported fee of €9.5 million and has a contract with the club until June 2029. A move to Torino in August 2025 reportedly fell through despite a proposed fee of around €9-11 million. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €6.00m.
