Tuttomercato reports that Sporting Clube de Portugal is seeking new players for their attack and has Assane Diao as the first name on their list of reinforcements.

Assane Diao, a 20-year-old Senegalese and Spanish winger who plays for Como in Italy, has been associated with Sporting. The player, who is currently at the World Cup, is regarded highly within the Lisbon club and is a known target. However, Diao is not yet considered a priority reinforcement. The club's administration is currently focused on selling some players, specifically Hjulmand, Pedro Gonçalves, and Trincão, before signing new attackers. Sporting is looking to add two wingers, and Yeremay of Corunha is the primary target for the left wing. Diao joined Como in January 2025 and is under contract until June 2029.
