According to Record Sport, after nine months of work by the club’s hierarchy, Ashton Scally has agreed to sign his first professional contract with Rangers, despite many offers from England and abroad.

Amid links to Arsenal, Manchester City was also interested in signing Ashton Scally. However, that interest did not develop, and a move to the Premier League club for the left-back is not expected. Rangers News reported this week that Scally seemed likely to reject interest from other clubs and remain in Glasgow. According to the Daily Record, he will be signing a long-term deal at the club and will not be signing an extension as a mere formality.

Ashton Scally has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool among the interested parties. Despite a prior belief that a move to City was close, his current club Rangers are confident the 15-year-old will agree to new terms. The Ibrox side has offered a three-year deal, and their sources believe the contract could be signed imminently to deter interest from south of the border.
