GSP reports that Romanian and Hungarian goalkeeper Árpád Tordai, aged 29, has left UTA and is expected to sign with CFR Cluj as a free agent. The goalkeeper was no longer part of the plans of coach Adrian Mihalcea at UTA, becoming the third-choice option after the transfer of Marcio Rosa. This resulted in the two parties mutually agreeing to terminate his contract. CFR Cluj was in urgent need of a goalkeeper, as they had been left with only Octavian Vâlceanu and Rareș Gal as senior options. Tordai is set to be the first transfer of the Marius Șumudică era. The move comes at a time when the club has recently entered insolvency. Tordai has one cap for the Romania U21 team and had joined UTA in January 2026. His current market value is €150k, according to Transfermarkt.
