Arno Verschueren is expected to return to Belgium, as SK Beveren is reportedly close to presenting the 29-year-old midfielder. At FC Twente, Verschueren had not played this season and was permitted to leave by coach John van den Brom. The Belgian is expected to sign a contract with Beveren until mid-2029. FC Twente had purchased Verschueren from Sparta Rotterdam in early 2025 for a few hundred thousand euros, and he scored one goal in 52 appearances for the club. Verschueren has been capped 9 times for the Belgium U19 team, and his current market value is €700k, according to Transfermarkt. ADO Den Haag had also reportedly been interested in the player.
