Arnaud Bodart Transfer from Metz to LOSC Lille

Arnaud Bodart has moved to Lille. He was replaced numerically by Jonathan Fischer at Metz.

Arnaud Bodart, a Belgian international goalkeeper, has joined Lille on a free transfer after a season with Metz. He has signed a contract for two seasons, extending until June 2027. The transfer was officially announced by Lille on their social media.

Lille is reportedly considering Arnaud Bodart as a backup goalkeeper for Lucas Chevalier for the upcoming year. Bodart, who recently departed from Metz after joining them in January for a six-month stint, played a crucial role in their promotion to Ligue 1. Despite suffering a knee injury on May 10 against Laval, which sidelined him for the playoff matches against Dunkerque and Reims, Lille is showing interest in him due to the departure of their current goalkeeper, Vito Mannone, whose contract is ending. The 27-year-old Belgian's potential transfer to Lille aligns with the club's strategy to bolster their goalkeeper options following Mannone's exit. Bodart's experience and recent performances have rendered him an appealing candidate for the role.
