Tuttomercato has reported that Arnau Tenas has signed a contract with Villarreal, also known as the Submarino Amarillo, that will last until June 30, 2029. Tenas is noted for his outstanding reflexes and ability to respond quickly to close-range shots, along with his proficient ball-handling skills, which are increasingly required of modern goalkeepers. Having developed his career in Barcelona's youth teams, Tenas moved to Paris Saint-Germain in 2023. During his time with PSG, he achieved six titles, including a Champions League victory, although he did not manage to secure a starting role. His accomplishments include winning an Olympic gold medal in Paris 2024 as Spain's starting goalkeeper and the Under-19 European Championship in 2019. Tenas has been an influential figure in Spain's youth national teams and received his first call-up to the senior national team in 2022.

According to 'El periódico del Mediterráneo', there is already an agreement between both clubs and with the player. The Catalan will sign with the Castellón team until June 2029. The transfer will be carried out for a sum between five and six million euros. The Parisian club had considered offering a renewal with a salary increase to then loan him to Villarreal, but it seems it will ultimately be a full transfer.
