Everton have entered the competition with Fulham to acquire Mainz's versatile full-back, Anthony Caci. The club has been tracking Caci for several weeks and regards him as a significant target for the upcoming summer transfer window. Caci is reportedly available for a fee below €10m (£8.5m). With the departure of 10 players, including Ashley Young, Everton is prioritizing the recruitment of a new full-back to address the gaps in their squad. Caci, whose contract with Mainz extends until 2026, is valued for his versatility, being capable of playing as a right-back, left-back, and right midfielder. In the 2024/25 season, he made 35 appearances for Mainz, scoring one goal and providing seven assists. Fulham, on the other hand, has been keeping tabs on Caci for several months, having engaged in discussions with Mainz back in January, and continues to express strong interest in signing him.
