Ángelo Martino Transfer from Newell's Old Boys to CSKA Sofia
Sportal.bg has reported on CSKA's successful negotiation to decrease the transfer fee for Angelo Martino. The club has managed to lower the transfer price for Martino, with initial expectations being that they would pay 400,000 USD to Newell's Old Boys for the 27-year-old defender. However, the final agreed amount is 345,000 USD. Furthermore, Newell's Old Boys will retain a 10% stake in his next sale. It was initially thought that Martino's contract with Newell's would end in December, but the club had an option to extend it by another 12 months with a buyout clause of 200,000 USD in December. The decision to sell him now was made by the South American club, as they believed it would yield a higher price than waiting a few months, given concerns about his motivation. Martino's new contract with CSKA is for three years, extending until 2028.
CSKA Sofia has finalized a deal with Newell's Old Boys for the transfer of Ángelo Martino, an Argentinian left-back. The Bulgarian club is set to pay approximately $400,000 for Martino's rights, with his contract at Newell's Old Boys running until the end of 2025. Martino is anticipated to arrive in Bulgaria this weekend to sign a three-year contract. Holding an Italian passport, he will not take up a non-EU player slot. The 27-year-old has played in 13 matches this season for Newell's Old Boys, contributing 2 assists. Previously, Newell's Old Boys had purchased him from Talleres for 1.4 million euros two years ago. Transfermarkt lists his current market value at €1.00m.
