Angeliño, a 29-year-old Spanish left-back from Roma, has been linked with Espanyol as one of several potential players the club is considering for the position. The search for a new left-back comes after the departure of Carlos Romero, with other candidates reportedly being considered including Diego Rico of Getafe and Álex Moreno. Angeliño joined Roma in July 2024, has a contract until 2028, and has made 7 appearances in Serie A during the 2025/2026 season. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €4.50m, and Deportivo La Coruña has also been recently linked with him. His move to Roma was for a fee of €5.2 million, a year after a transfer to Al-Hilal for a reported fee of up to €25 million collapsed in June 2025.
