Olimpija's offer for the permanent transfer of Andrej Pogačar, a 24-year-old Slovenian attacking midfielder, was less than what his club, Radomlje, earned by loaning him to Catanzaro in Italy. Before the move to the Serie B club, Radomlje had extended Pogačar's contract for two years. The player was explicitly wanted by Olimpija's new coach, Jugoslav Trenčovski, but he did not receive the required support from the Ljubljana club's management, and the transfer was not completed. Pogačar has been capped by Slovenia at the U21 level and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €400k.
