Brest was interested in Amir Richardson; however, he will not be joining Ligue 1.

Brest is attempting to sign Fiorentina midfielder Amir Richardson, which could result in the 23-year-old Moroccan international returning to Ligue 1 this winter after previous discussions with OGC Nice were unsuccessful. The Breton club, which is described as being financially limited, is trying to secure a loan for the second part of the season. Brest is in competition with several other teams for Richardson, including Neom in Saudi Arabia. Richardson joined Fiorentina from Reims in August 2024 for a fee reported to be €9.0 million plus bonuses, and his contract runs until June 2029. He has made two appearances in Serie A this season. His current market value is €4.50m, according to Transfermarkt. In January 2025, Fiorentina's asking price was reportedly around €10 million.
