Alvaro Garcia-Pascual Transfer from Sevilla to Cádiz
Álvaro García Pascual has joined Cádiz from Sevilla FC. The transfer was officially confirmed by Cádiz, following an exclusive report by Radio MARCA Cádiz on May 14, which denied rumors of a possible contract renewal with Sevilla FC. García Pascual, who developed in Andalusian academies and played in the U.S. university leagues, signed with Sevilla FC in July 2024, debuting in LaLiga EA Sports last season. He played nine official matches and scored a crucial goal to help Sevilla avoid relegation.
García Pascual is set to be officially announced as a new signing for Cádiz. An agreement was reached with the player several months ago. Although Sevilla attempted to renew his contract after regretting letting him go, Cádiz had already moved ahead. Despite publicly expressing his love for Sevilla and desire to continue there, he has an agreement signed with Cádiz. The announcement has been delayed to allow tensions to ease, but confirmation is expected soon.
Álvaro Miguel García Pascual, known as Pascual, attracted attention from Cádiz, which had verbally agreed to sign him for the next three seasons. The agreement came after his impressive performances, including a crucial goal against Las Palmas that contributed to Sevilla's virtual salvation. However, the verbal agreement might be broken if Sevilla decides to offer him a renewal, as he expressed his desire to stay, saying 'Here they treat me like a king and hopefully I will stay many more years.'
