Liverpool activated the extension option in Alisson's contract. His agreement, which was expiring this summer, has been extended by at least one year until summer 2027. Alisson's agent Zé Maria Ness stated that they have extended the contract, but he is obliged to confidentiality and therefore cannot comment on the duration.

According to Goal.com, Liverpool have triggered the 12-month option to extend Alisson's contract. This secures the goalkeeper's stay for another season. The 33-year-old’s previous terms were set to expire this summer, and he is now under contract through to the end of the 2026-27 campaign.

Alisson rejected the chance to leave Liverpool and opted to continue with them for at least the 2025–26 campaign. He is approaching the final year of his contract at Anfield but expects the club to trigger a 12-month extension clause to keep him until 2027. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates his market worth at 20.00 million euros.
