Dinamo București is in advanced negotiations with Alexandru Mățan, who is currently a free agent after leaving Dibba Al-Hisn in the United Arab Emirates. Dinamo is willing to offer the offensive midfielder a salary of 20,000 euros per month, according to iAMSport.ro. Club officials see Mățan as the perfect replacement for Dennis Politic.

Alexandru Mățan was under consideration for a transfer to Dinamo, with coach Zeljko Kopic keen on securing his services. Nevertheless, negotiations rapidly reached an impasse due to Mățan's salary expectations, which were considered too high for Dinamo's current financial plan. Mățan's demand for a monthly salary of 25,000 euros, amounting to 300,000 euros annually, was a condition for his return to Romania, as he reportedly stated he would not entertain the idea for a lower sum. Despite being viewed as an ideal replacement for Dennis Politic, Mățan's financial requirements rendered the transfer unfeasible. Previously, Mățan was transferred to Dibba Al-Hisn in Dubai, where he participated in only three matches over three months without scoring, yet his market value remains at 2.8 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
