The Turkish media outlet Fanatik reported that Galatasaray is considering proposing a loan with an obligatory purchase next year to Atlético de Madrid for Alexander Sorloth. This proposal did not initially convince Atlético. The final decision may depend on the figures involved and Atlético's need to sell in order to reinforce the squad. Sorloth is not opposed to leaving Atlético, but for a move to Turkey, he is demanding a salary of more than ten million euros.

According to Fanatik, Galatasaray has an interest in Alexander Sörloth for a forward transfer. Galatasaray is reportedly evaluating the striker and closely following his situation, as he is expected to leave Atletico Madrid. The transfer conditions for Sörloth are being investigated, and it is claimed that Galatasaray may consider a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option for the Norwegian. The club's management is assessing the terms, and if a suitable arrangement is found, negotiations could accelerate. If Sörloth is transferred, Galatasaray will be required to make a new arrangement in the foreign player quota and may have to send one of its current foreign players.

Galatasaray have added Atletico Madrid's striker Alexander Sørloth to their list of targets to enhance their forward line for the new season. Officials from the club held a meeting with Sørloth's agent, which was reported to be the first contact between the two parties. Sørloth has a contract with Atlético until 2028, and several other clubs, including Juventus, Fenerbahçe, and Newcastle United, have also been linked with him.
