Esbjerg have signed 27-year-old striker Alexander Ammitzbøll on a contract that runs until the summer. The Betinia Liga club announced on Thursday that the former AGF player, who had been training with them since January, was given a contract. Ammitzbøll, who departed Norwegian club Aalesund at the end of 2025, has had three cruciate ligament injuries, and his last competitive match was on August 13, 2022. Sports director Sebastian Brydegaard stated that the long trial period provided the club with an opportunity to assess him as a person and player. Brydegaard added that Ammitzbøll has worked hard to become match-fit and has integrated well into the squad, and his signing will strengthen competition in the attack for the final part of the season.
