Celtic are interested in signing 32-year-old English international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The former Liverpool and Gunners' player has been a free agent since leaving Besiktas last summer, which would allow him to move to Parkhead outside the transfer window. Pundit Kris Boyd stated that he believes Oxlade-Chamberlain would be a success in Scotland, commenting that a player does not lose that kind of ability despite getting older and having had injury problems. Boyd also urged Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to intervene before a deal could be completed, after Sky Sports presenter Gordon Duncan had noted that Arteta had not ruled out a switch for the midfielder.
