Mundo Deportivo has reported on Álex Martín's move to Córdoba as a free agent. Álex Martín, a central defender, has joined Córdoba following the conclusion of his contract with Elche. He has secured a two-year deal with Córdoba, marking him as the ninth addition to the team for the forthcoming season in LaLiga Hypermotion. The 27-year-old, who is 1.83 meters tall, was part of Elche's squad that earned promotion to Primera División. Having developed in the youth systems of Las Palmas, Betis, and Real Madrid, he participated in 11 official matches for Elche last season in Liga and Copa del Rey competitions. With substantial experience in Segunda División, where he played 78 matches for teams such as Cartagena, Mirandés, Racing Club Ferrol, and Elche, Álex Martín also gained experience in Primera División with Cádiz during the 2020-21 season. His arrival is set to bolster the defensive lineup under the leadership of Córdoba's coach Iván Ania.
