Deportivo da Corunha, Espanyol, and Celta de Vigo are interested in CD Castellón's 25-year-old Spanish attacking midfielder, Álex Calatrava. After a season in which he scored 15 goals and made eight assists in 43 matches, his current club is looking for a replacement due to the possibility of his departure. Calatrava, who joined Castellón in July 2024, has a contract until 2029 and a current market value of €4.00m on Transfermarkt. According to reports from the summer of 2025, he has a release clause of €5 million, and those reports also mentioned that Castellón was open to negotiating a transfer for a fee starting around €3 million.
